About the presenter:
Clare Vassallo is Professor of Translation Studies and Semiotics at the University of Malta. Her areas of interest are history and theory of translation; pragmatics and semiotics; literary translation; and adaptation studies. She has published literary translations from Maltese into English and a number of academic papers and chapters in international journals.

About the interviewer:
Lisa Agostini has been a translator and editor for over 20 years with previous career stints at MTV, BBC and in academic publishing. She works from French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian into English in the medical, pharmaceutical and humanities fields, and is the Deputy Coordinator of the ITI Spanish Network.
